Many decks tried to smooth out their mana curves in order to try and make Void less devastating, but there always seemed to be a good number to choose, and the existence of quality bounce spells Repulse and Recoil meant you often had a decent read on their hand even if you hadn't looked at it directly and also made it much easier to leave them with multiple cards in the same casting cost and not take damage while building up to five
This showcase style likes to accentuate colors and features creatures in their natural habitat, almost like a Discovery channel documentary set in the world of Magic: the Gathering
That said, this will probably be simple and easy to play since just about any Magic player knows enough to be able to just play a good stuff deck in Commander and not worry too much about the decks synergies
Most green ramp cards exist on a spectrum between Elvish Mystic (low mana value, fragile, low impact) and Reshape the Earth (enormously impactful, resilient, very high mana value)
In MAR's case, the connective tissue here is Magic staples, but with illustrations from the comics
