I believe this piece dates to the mid to late 19th century

Still pretty great

but it certainly carries the pride of James Williams

Pretty well done--thin-walled so fairly light in weight--but just a bit irregular in form

He lost his ears along the way, which I think just adds to his very empathetic nature, as does some chipping to the pink paint of his muzzle. Great surface all over and loaded with character. 5" l x 4 1 4" t x
