I purchased this piece because I loved the image of this pink cheeked runner in his white outfit and those brown shoes that don't look especially great for running

(And I personally am more than happy to leave the driving to a non human, who can't get too hurt!) The front axle turns a full 360 degrees, and it rolls along great, so it would certainly make a wonderful toy for the kids, but really it's a pretty fabulous folk art piece
