This painting is inspired by the beautiful turquoise beaches in the Coral Coast Region of Western Australia, namely Denham and Shark Bay. As I was painting this one, this crazy song 'Surfin' Bird' came on my playlist so that's the name of it now!! This piece is full of beautiful textures in the sand and the feathers of the emus which gives it a sense of depth. This work is
