There is not a whole lot out there about Renate Scheer Kalkofen (1935-2013) who created this gorgeous "In Outer Space" print in 1966

Large, Substantial Ball in Cage Carved Whimsy light wood carved chain rather than signed like thisI realize it would be good, at least with some things, to include other objects in photos for scale which would be helpful in the case of this large whimsy, which feels more like modernist design object than whimsy carving. I would guess mid 20th century, with clean lines and substantial presence. There are some hatch marks on the ball, including what almost looks like a carved KH, as if it were meant for me to find it!:) 6 3 16" tall x 2 3 16" wide
