I think it's pretty hard to beat a kitchen stocked with earthy speckled stoneware

I don't think I'll get over my great love of much personalized old school books any time soon

and to my eye beautifully merges a mid-century elegance with a more folky sensibility

Some light dings and wear to the surface

and a little tearing to the foil as it wraps around the edges of the front--it's all holding together okay but is a bit delicate

I might have expected "loyal friend" or "my pet" to accompany this dog, but instead "innocence" which makes this dog seem rather holy! (And, as so many of these were religiously oriented, it makes it feel almost as if this pup on his pillow were a stand in for Jesus!) And so, a good one in
