I picked these three photographs out of a pile at the flea market yesterday because I thought they were really interesting--kind of like pre-Instagram still lives of assorted and carefully arranged antique objects

This one is such, an unusual convergence, at least to my eye, of stumpwork embroidery, executed in chenille on silk, with theorem painting as the embroidery very much mimics a theorem on velvet of a basket of flowers in terms not just of composition but also manner of execution, exemplified
