of which there are a wonderful variety out there

Over the years--I'd guess they date to the late 19th/early 20th c--they've lost much of their original gilding

and much of it from the 1880s

These dogs are from a larger group of 19th c. graphite drawings I found yesterday at a show in New Hampshire, which I've divided into sets so many fabulous little animals! In addition to the dogs themselves, I really love the capital letter handwriting on this. Sold as set. Mastiff: 6 11 16" x 4 7 8". Thibet: 5" x 5 7 16". Dalmation: 5" x 4 11 16". All in
