I'm not sure about the origins of this pair of little face jugs

but it still looks great

and reminds me a bit of the cats of Laurel Burch

Hand thrown, it was made in the 1960s by Danish potters Signe Boesen and John Northroup, who were married, with their pressed mark just below the handle, and "Denmark" pressed along the bottom edge. The interior is glazed a painterly olive green, which makes the orange pop all the more. Striking, cheerful, modern and earthy all rolled into one;
