Pink House, Blue Sky, Old Folk Art Painting on Stone Slate three drawer tabletop chest but overall very good conditionI imagine he slate on which this pink house and winter landscape was painted was salvaged from an antique school slate the frame of which fell apart. Whatever the case, I like it as much as any slate painting I've seen, cozy feeling and also with a real brightness (I'd say radiance, really) to this pink house against white snowy ground and blue sky. I especially love that little line of black crosses for the fence in the distance to the right of the
