and also almost as if it were a photograph of a statue

which I'd guess were likely the dates of birth of the three children of the woman who owned this

What I know is that he was from New Jersey(b. 1929) but spent a good part of the 1950s in Mexico, after which he briefly attended Cooper Union. He was gay, and estranged from his family, and, it seems increasingly mentally ill, with not much record of him
