This is a wonderful copy and feels like quite a special thing to hold in your hands

evoking all the romanticism of working through the night by candlelight--and with that great looping line among the ink bottles and pen nib seemingly added just for flourish

especially with those white clouds and pink in the distance

and while it's possible there are a few of the smallest sized (triangular) blocks missing

and most definitely worthy of putting in a frame

Woodington Township, NC, 1896 R This is a wonderful copyI always have an eye out for hand drawn maps, but it is a rare and happy moment to find one with watercolor embellishment, and what a charmer, with big red and green compass rose star with pointing arrows and feathers, excellent inked handwriting, hand pointing to the corner of Lightwood Knot Road, and long hatched railroad, too!
