The piece boasts fine barley twist arms with ornately carved oak to the top and bottom of the frame, all above carved oak scroll feet. The brass gong itself is thick and extremely heavy, sitting upon later hooks within the frame. There is a small hole to the underside of the gong (please see photographs) but it still has a lovely deep and resonating ring when
