Kerfing Plane Kit for Stanley No 45 Combination Plane Stanley Originally developed about 2005 byFollowing the resounding success of the kerfing plane kit for the Stanley No 50, a kit is now available for the Stanley No 45 combination plane. Fitment has been verified on Types 7 and newer. Basically, if the body of the plane is nickel plated, it will work. The kit will convert nearly any Stanley No 45 into a kerfing plane used to prepare lumber for resawing with a rip handsaw. A shallow kerf cut into all four sides of the board will encourage the
