Chic and cheerful is this vintage Japanese (circa early 1940s) hand-painted ceramic wall pocket in the shape of a duck

composed of interlocking solid copper circles and rectangles with the patterns in relief against darker grounds

is in very good condition overall

The Ibis in Egyptian culture was traditionally
