Patch or Powder Box I/O boat Cup measures 3" tall xA lovely little box and a clever one too, with the image of a young woman fishing surely a metaphor for the box's contents makeup to assist in the art of seduction (or, more crassly, in fishing for a mate!) Made of celluloid with embossed brass around the sides and the image a hand colored engraving printed on cloth. I am not completely certain if a patch box, for beauty marks to be adhered to the face, or for rouge powder, but I believe one or the
