The mid section was made 3/4" shorter than the butt section and the tip section was made 2 1/2" shorter than the butt section
moving the female joint ferrule nearer to handle
The short tip (by 5/8") shows evidence of having been scarfed and is integrally sound
When this rod came into the shop the ferrule fit was a smidge too tight so I cleaned the ferrules for a better fit
