At one end of the carved closed fist appears to be a small inlaid bit of something

with just a bit off fading to the orange on the backside and a few white spots

and indeed look rather as if ready to chime

it called to me in a special way--but I know I'm not alone

The photo is a bit dark, but pretty fabulous, complete with a trophy exactly at the center, above which one rooster is precisely perched one assumes the first prize winner,
